Olmsted Cave after heavy rainfall (April 2000). Upper Olmsted Creek is cascading into the 2.5 m deep entrance shaft. During subsequent urban development in 2000 the stream was diverted into a storm sewer, the cave partly collapsed from nearby
blasting, and the surrounding area was heavily impacted. The cave is now located in a City of Hamilton park.
